Marian J. Neff, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler, Pennsylvania after a short illness due to complications from Covid 19. She was born in Sybertown, PA. Tuesday, August 14, 1945 the daughter of the late Robert Peters and the late June Sipes Peters.
She worked many years for Chicora Elementary School and after retiring from there she worked for Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church where she was laundress, taught Sunday School, and was a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed singing and was a member of the church choir, gardening, and socializing, but her family was the true light of her life.
She married Wendell Neff November 6, 1971 who died September 8, 2011.
She is survived by 6 sons: Michael Robinson, Robinson Twp. Allegheny County, PA; Sean and Sherry Robinson-Apache, OK; W. Allen and Rebecca Neff -Chandler, AZ; Scott and Beth Neff-Pittsburgh, PA; Jason and Dana Neff-Erie, PA; Aaron and Heather Neff-Manassas, VA; 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 2 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Patricia Burnette-Texas; Carolyn Magle -Natrona Heights; 2 brothers: Robert and Joan Peters -Sharpsville, PA; Allen and Kathy Peters -Rimersberg, PA
Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, Corner of 111 Main and East Slippery Rock Streets, Chicora, PA 16025
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 409 North Main Street, Chicora, PA. with Father Matthew McClain officiating. A private interment will be in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Chicora, PA.
