Gladys A. Gross, age 82, of Butler, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born May 4, 1938 in Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Cora Nolker.
Gladys was a homemaker. She was formerly employed at Brose’s Superette in Butler for many years and more recently at Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and attending all of her grandchildren’s athletic events. She loved traveling and trips to the casinos and her door was always open to socialize with those who stopped by to visit.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons, Charles E. Gross and his wife, Tammy, of Butler, and Curt Gross and his wife, Maureen, of Butler; one daughter, Caryle Kraut and her husband, Michael, of Pahrump, Nevada; seven grandchildren, C.J. Gross, Jayme Kraut, Katelyn Kraut, Michael Kraut and his wife, Abby, Mark Gross, Samuel Gross, and Heidi Gross; one great-grandchild, Cooper Kraut; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Gross, who passed away August 29, 2015; one brother, Harry Nolker; and one sister, Charlene Nolker DeHart.
Funeral services and burial were private, with Reverend David M. Phillips, senior pastor of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, officiating.
