David P. “Pat” Schmeider, 64, formerly of Butler, passed away at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 3, 1956, in Butler, PA, to the late David J. Schmeider and the late Frances A. Schmeider.
Pat graduated in 1974 from Knoch High School and received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from BC3. He worked at Community Options in Cranberry for several years as a personal care associate. Pat was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, an amazing pappy, and an endless source of fun for his grandchildren. His family will always remember his laughter, generosity, and funny t-shirts.
He is survived by beloved companion, Glenda Martin; three children, Dianna (Luc) Carr-DiZinno, of Butler, David (Amy) Schmeider, of Avon Lake, Oh, and Robin Schmeider (Terry Thompson), of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Karen (Eric) Lepp of Merritt Island, Fla., Kimberly (Leonard) Skyzinski of Cabot, and Kathleen (Richard) Ehrhart of Hellertown; and four grandchildren, Charlie, Jack, Hannah, and Henry; future grandson to be; and Mother of his children, Susan MacConnell of Beaver Falls, PA.
In addition to his parents, He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jayne Schmeider.
Per the family wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A private funeral service was held at the convenience of the family.
Private inurnment took place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
