An internationally renowned performer and writer who also happens to be a current U.S. poet will speak as part of a Slippery Rock University virtual presentation later this week.
Joy Harjo is scheduled to talk about her poetry and social justice as well as her experience as a Native American Tuesday at 5 p.m. on Zoom.
This presentation is part of a series sponsored by the We Stand Together organization which is a national coalition of 14 university presidents and chancellors focused on unity. A couple of SRU associate professors of English will moderate the program.
Those interested in joining this webinar can register by completing an online form on the SRU website and a link to access the Zoom event will be emailed.
