Butler County residents will have the opportunity to clean up and reduce clutter at a couple of events this weekend.
First, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, residents of Worth Township are invited to participate in a Community Clean Up Day. Gloves, bags, and vests will be provided. No hazardous materials or electronics will be collected but residents can participate in a tire collection for a nominal fee.
Also on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., groups and individuals are invited to celebrate Earth Day with a Spring Clean-up at Moraine State Park. Projects for all ability levels will be going on rain or shine such as weeding and mulching the native species garden in front of the park office as well as painting two bike shelters along the paved bike trail.
Participants are advised to dress for working outdoors and bring snack and water when meeting at the South Shore Park Office. Pre-registration is required by calling the Park Office.
