Dolores Yvette McCue, 73, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away at her residence.
She was born July 9, 1947 in Force, Pennsylvania to the late Antonio Gagliardi and the late Sophie Black Gagliardi. Dolores worked as a Secretary for PURE Carbon Company.
Dolores attended school in Weedville, PA and graduated from St. Mary’s Area High School. After graduation, she was employed by PURE Carbon Company on Hall Ave. in St. Mary’s and became the secretary to the vice president.
Dolores had several nieces and nephews that loved her very much. Her door was always open to visits and overnight stays for many of them. Dolores was Christian in Faith. Her love for her family was evident. She was the epitome of kindness. Dolores had a love for all animals and her kitty, Tassie.
She loved baking, gardening, and hour-long phone calls with all her family and neighbors, especially, Candace Codispot, her best friend. Dolores worried about everyone, making sure everyone had what they needed.
She was blessed with an extra brother, David (Sherry) Catalano, later in life. Dolores loved telling stories of years gone by and sharing the memories of her happiest time.
Dolores is survived by her two stepsons, Scott (Brenda) McCue, Vince McCue; three grandchildren, Ian McCue, Erika McCue, and Tyler McCue; two step grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Greenawalt, and Kylie Valensky; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Natalie, and London Greenawalt; stepsiblings, Carmen, Angelo, and Helen; and her brother, David (Sherry) Catalano.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary L. McCue, who passed away on September 25, 2009; four brothers, Dominick “Buddy” Gagliardi, Leo Gagliardi, Victor Gagliardi, and Louis Gagliardi; five sisters, Eva Catalano, Jean Raspetello, Edith Ann Ott, Leona Hasselman, and Linda Dornish.
There will be no public visitation.
A private Blessing Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
A private burial will take place at St. John Parish Cemetery in Coylesville, PA.
