Mary Margaret Campbell passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital, Saturday evening, April 24, 2021 having been surrounded by her loved ones.
Born August 29, 1946 in Grafton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey L. Leuthardt and Edith M. Leuthardt.
Mary was retired from the Butler YWCA Personal Care Home, where she lovingly cared for patients for many years. She was a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Butler, and a long-time member of the Butler Women of the Moose. Mary enjoyed crocheting, reading and traveling, but her greatest joy in life came through spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and her two grandsons, of whom she was exceedingly proud.
Surviving are her son, C. Scott Campbell and daughter-in-law Shauna Campbell of Butler; two sisters Victoria Ferro of Struthers, Ohio and Genevieve Maududi of Butler, PA, her grandsons, Alexander Campbell and his wife Anna of Pittsburgh, PA and Joshua Campbell of Butler, PA. Mary also had a number of nieces and nephews and grandnephews whom she treasured.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel P. Campbell, whom she married February 13, 1965.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no open visitation. Private services and a celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brewer Family Scholarship through the Butler County Community College Foundation, 107 College Drive, Butler, PA 16002, in Mary’s name.
Arrangements were handled by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler.
