Girls Lacrosse:
–Butler-11 Knoch-6. Evelynn Vissari led the Golden Tornado with five goals. Alana Collins added two more. Goaltender Lauren LeGrand had 14 saves.
–Freeport-10 Greensburg Salem-7. Morgan Wise had seven goals and two assists to lead the Yellow Jackets.
The Butler Boys Volleyball team defeated Pine-Richland 3-1.
The North Catholic Boys Tennis team fell to Quaker Valley 4-1 Monday in the WPIAL Team Tournament semifinals.
The Butler Track & Field teams and the Seneca Valley Boys team will compete in the WPIAL championships Wednesday. The WPIAL is also going to allow fans in attendance at West Mifflin high school.
The WPIAL also announced Monday that the baseball and softball pairings will be announced Friday. The top four teams from each section in both sports will advance into the tournament.
