The state Department of Labor and Industry is getting ready to transition to a new unemployment compensation computer system.
The new system is expected to come online by June 8th. However, as the state makes the transition, people will not be able to file for unemployment from June 3rd—7th.
“Everyone will be able to file on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on the week of June 6-12. Like now the system will go offline on Saturdays, and all claims filed that week will be processed and payments will be issued,” Acting Secretary of Labor and Industry Jennifer Berrier said.
Virtual workshops are happening this week to help people get used to the new system. We have a link to those educational pages at ButlerRadio.com.
