The City of Butler Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority continues to invest in new concessions equipment to welcome fans back to the ballpark.
At their meeting Monday night, the authority heard from a representative of the Butler Hot Dog Shoppe who handles concessions for the Authority, about the addition of at least one slushie machine.
Concession managers are trying to get the best possible deal on a slushie machine to serve alcoholic slushies to adults, and if the price allows, a second non-alcoholic slushie machine for kids and others. Last month, the concession stand added a pizza oven and warmer. There are also plans to add a new pretzel carousel machine.
This equipment is expected to be installed and ready for use at Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park within the next couple of weeks.
