Pastor L. David Fisher ThD, 90 of Butler passed away in the comfort of his home on Sunday, June 13, 2021. He has left his earthly body behind and will now forever be in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born on November 9, 1930, in Akron, Ohio the son of late Frank and Grace Fisher.

David graduated from Practical Bible Training School, attended Bob Jones University, and then went on to receive his Doctorate from Clarksville School of Theology.
David Fisher served as the pastor of Homeacre Chapel for 65 years and was the founder and administrator of Homeacre Christian Academy. He spent many years dedicated to Evangelical Ministries as well as participating in mission trips to Africa. Pastor Fisher was all about helping others whether it was helping someone find Jesus or helping others through other positions in the community. He trusted God completely and listened daily for God’s instructions. He was selfless and lived to please God. He was a great example of a man that followed God, and there is no doubt his legacy followed him to Heaven.
On Feb 14, 1950 he married the love of his life Zelma “Mickey” Sparks who survives. From this union 6 children were born, Dawn Oesterling, Jeanna (Colt) Stallings, Roseann Thornton, Daniel Fisher, Nathan Fisher and Becky (Russ) Ray. In addition, he leaves 13 Grandchildren, 32 Great grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Thursday, June 17th from 10-11 AM in the Homeacre Chapel at 340 Whitestown RD. 16001 with Associate Pastor Tim Boden officiating.
