A local man has been charged following an incident in which he allegedly attempted to stab another man last weekend.
According to the Butler Township Police, 55-year-old Richard Quinn of Butler threatened to kill a 52-year-old Butler man around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Saxonburg Road.
After making the threat, Quinn allegedly pulled a switchblade knife and thrust it towards the victim’s throat. The victim was able to disarm Quinn and no one was injured as a result of this incident.
Quinn was taken to the Butler County Prison where he is facing charges including aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and possession of prohibited offensive weapons.
