Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey says he’s concerned about the growing number of cyber attacks.
He spoke to members of the press and detailed what he views as one the biggest threats to the United States.
“There are non-state actors, some state actors, and even some governments of foreign countries that very, very aggressively that have huge teams of highly trained, very capable people that spend all day, every day trying to take down really important parts of the economy and government,” Toomey said.
Toomey says these cyber attacks are happening more and more. He cites recent cases targeting American defenses, going after big business, or most recently the attack on an energy pipeline.
