A longtime conservative activist who is seeking the Republican nomination for governor was involved in a crash that killed one person over the weekend.
It was last Wednesday night when a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Chester County. In the other vehicle was Charlie Gerow, who is currently seeking to become the next governor of the state. A spokesman for Gerow says he was driving the vehicle, but did not comment further as the investigation is ongoing.
The motorcyclist was 30-year-old Logan Abbott of Bradford County.
Details of the crash were not revealed by police.
