The Mars Area School District will be changing the responsibilities of a couple of administrators for the upcoming school year.
Dale Sleva Jr will move from serving as the assistant principal of the Mars Area High School, to the principal of the Mars Area Primary Center. During his 14 years at the High Scholl, Sleva Jr also served as the acting principal of the Mars Area Middle School during the 2015-16 school year.
Shifting into Sleva’s former position as the new assistant principal of the Mars Area High School will be Jessica Semler who was most recently a third grade teacher at Mars. Semler is a graduate of Mars and began her career at Mars teaching second grade in 2009 before moving to third grade three years later.
Anastasia DiLorenzo, who was the principal of the Primary Center last year, will return to her position as a fourth grade teacher at Mars Area Elementary School.
