Butler County Commissioners say they will not be starting an investigation into the 2020 election on their own, but rather will wait for word from state Senate.
At their public meeting yesterday, a group of citizens similar to two weeks ago grilled the commissioners about last November’s election.
Commissioners said that the Senate is debating ways to potentially audit the election and that they would await word on how the county would be involved.
However, commissioners also added that if they operated an investigation on their own, it could jeopardize their current election process, bringing an added cost and potential issues for the upcoming election.
