Despite speculation of gas prices rising in the wake of Hurricane Ida, the cost for a gallon of gas in Butler has actually dropped a few pennies.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded self-serve in Butler is $3.29. That’s down three cents from last week.
AAA however also added that we’re not out of the woods yet as about 13 percent of the U.S. oil refineries were knocked offline by the hurricane.
Although there is ample supply right now, that could change in the next couple of weeks as refineries become strained until production begins again.
