The president of a large manufacturing company in Butler County is making a bid for Congress.
Tricia Staible announced her candidacy for the Republican nomination for Pennsylvania’s 17th Congressional District. It’s a seat currently held by Democrat Conor Lamb, who is now running for Senate.
Staible is president of Robinson Fans Inc. in Zelienople and she touts her business background and Democratic policies as reasons she’s entering the race.
However, it’s unclear what the fate of the 17th District will be. Pennsylvania is currently redrawing its district map after losing a seat in Congress.
It’s expected that the lost seat could come somewhere in Western PA.
