As people gather for Thanksgiving this year, health leaders are warning people to be cautious as COVID continues to spread.
Dr. Cheryl Bettigole is Philadelphia’s Health Commissioner and she says families should take some extra measures to ensure a safe holiday.
“Many people may want to get a test before they go to dinner, especially they’ll be seeing someone elderly or immunosuppresed, and particularly if there are unvaccinated family members,” Bettigole said.
Bettigole says to try and get the test close to the gathering date so the results are timely.
