Local fire departments are being encouraged to apply for grant money in order to enhance safety of the public and firefighters.
Applications are now being accepted for FEMA’s Fire Prevention and Safety Program.
$46 million will go to fire departments and non-profit organizations with a goal of strengthening community fire prevention programs.
