A local lawmaker is helping constituents with taxes while also bringing local business leaders together to advise him on economic policy.
U.S. Congressman Mike Kelly-who represents about half of the residents in Butler County in the House of Representatives-will host a telephone town hall for Pennsylvania’s 16th Congressional District on Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. Residents will be able to ask questions of officials with the IRS and the Office of the Taxpayer Advocate about filing income taxes by calling 855-531-1063.
Kelly has also formed a 17 member “Business and Economic Roundtable” including residents from all five counties in Kelly’s district. Members of the health care industry, agriculture, manufacturing, and retail will meet quarterly throughout this year to discuss issues like inflation, supply chain, labor shortages, and other business issues. The Roundtable’s first meeting is planned for Tuesday (2/22) in Sharon.
