Willard B. Pollock, 87, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 20, 2022, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 22, 1934, in Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Adis Pollock and the late Leah Coleman.
Willard was a graduate of Butler Senior High School. He worked for Armco as a crane operator. Willard was a member of White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, where he was a Trustee. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking outside, and most recently wood working. Willard liked model railroading. He traveled to 49 out of the 50 states camping and went on a mission trip to Africa. Willard was a former volunteer for the Covenant Food Cupboard. Above all else he loved spending time with his family especially his great-grandchildren.
Willard is survived by his wife, Gayle Pollock, who he married on November 17, 1956; one son, Doug (Nancy) Pollock of Renfrew, PA; two daughters, Carrie Lachendro (Jeffrey Bader) of Butler, PA, Becky McClelland of Chicora, PA; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Forbis of NV; and over 100 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Stephen Lachendro.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Butler Memorial Hospital that went above and beyond for them.
Friends will be received Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Wednesday February 23, 2022, 10:00 am – 11:00am at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, 11:00 am at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Rev. Robert S. Edmundson, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
