Jennie Kitt Logan, age 97, of Renfrew, formerly of Saxonburg, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 in the comfort of her home.
Born June 26, 1924 in Lyndora, to Peter and Palagia Kitt. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Kitt. Jennie also was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, who passed on February 2, 2005.
Jennie was the third female employee hired at ARMCO during WWII. There, she met her future husband Raymond E. Logan, and they were married on January 8, 1945. Together, they operated the Logan family farm from 1945-1968. Jennie was a huge Pittsburgh Pirates fan. She enjoyed cards, bowling, square dancing and round dancing. She enjoyed playing golf and gardening as well as handicrafts. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Jennie leaves behind to cherish her memory, children that she loved very much. Bob (Sue) Logan of Butler, Dave (Patty) Logan of Leesburg, VA, Pat (Dave) Macurdy of Butler, and Dick Logan of Renfrew; her grandchildren, Brian, Erin, Megan, Kelly, and twins, Ashley and Amy; and her two great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
Friends will be received from 5-8 P.M. on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Twp., 856 Evans City Rd., Renfrew, PA 16053.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1 P.M. on Friday, February 25, 2022 with Pastor Leigh Benish, of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating.
The family requests everyone attending visitation or the service to please wear a mask.
Jennie will be laid to rest at the Butler County Memorial Park.
