A Butler man is facing charges following a drug bust at his apartment in the city.
The investigation started when Butler County probation officers were at the apartment of 32-year-old William Stuteville on the 400 block of Zeigler Avenue this past Tuesday afternoon.
They were searching for two people who were wanted on probation and were inside that apartment. However, when probation officers entered they found what appeared to be crack cocaine in plain view on a table.
The officers contacted the Butler County Drug Task Force who responded and determined that the crack cocaine had just been cooked and was drying on the table.
Soon, police applied for and executed a search warrant at the home, finding over four ounces of crack cocaine, 11 grams of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia for cooking and distributing, and a 9 mm gun.
Stuteville, who also has prior drug convictions, was placed in the Butler County Jail on $100,000 bail.
