More information is available about the Oakland Township vehicle accident early Thursday morning.
According to a State Police spokesman, the unidentified driver has been located and he was taken to the Butler County Jail on an outstanding warrant and other charges related to the incident.
The one vehicle crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on Oneida Valley Road near Hohn Farm Road. Police say that the unidentified driver was traveling south when they lost control of the car and went off the road.
The vehicle then went airborne multiple times before flipping over the guardrail and landing on its roof partially submerged in the reservoir.
When crews arrived, nobody was inside the vehicle. The county’s water rescue team was called out to help search for the person.
Oneida Valley Road was closed for over two hours Thursday morning, before reopening to traffic around 8:30 a.m.
