A burst of lake effect snow quickly covered roadways in Butler this morning.
Snow showers began around 7 a.m. and things quickly picked up within the hour. That has created some tricky driving conditions for the morning commute.
Crews are on the scene of a pair of accidents on East Portersville Road in Muddy Creek Township.
Around 8:30 a.m. dispatchers say a vehicle flipped onto its side near Poplar Lane. Soon thereafter a tractor trailer jackknifed near the intersection with Pleasant Valley Road.
The snow is expected to switch to rain by noon today as temperatures will reach a high of 43.
The wintry weather will come to an end starting tomorrow as temps climb to 55 with mostly sunny skies. By the end of the week, it’ll feel more like summer as weekend highs could hit 80.
