With Election Day now less than a week away, we’re going to be highlighting some of the contested local primaries over the next couple of days.
Incumbent Marci Mustello, a Republican from the 11th District, is seeking re-election to a third term and says she wants to continue serving the community.
“I just want to carry over the experience that I have through all of my years of service here as a lifelong resident. I know the community pretty well and want to continue to serve them,” Mustello said.
Mustello is being challenged by Summit Township resident Jennifer Steele.
“I do not like where our country is going. I think I’m a good person to fix any issues. I would listen to my constituents,” Steele said. “I have a strong personality and a strong backbone, and I’ve been a fighter my entire life.”
The 11th District was redrawn this year to include Butler Township and most of southeastern municipalities.
