A graduating senior from Seneca Valley will be heading to the U.S. Naval Academy.
School officials say Tyler Yurich earned appointments to both the Navy and West Point, but settled on the Naval Academy this past week.
He also plans to compete on Navy’s track and field team, after excelling at Seneca Valley in short sprinting and long jump.
Yurich earned a 5.05 GPA in his four years of high school.
He’ll be leaving in June for seven weeks to attend boot camp and plans to pursue a degree in electrical engineering.
