The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-3 last night, and have clinched the season series for the first time since 2016. Michael Chavis and Tucupita Marcano each hit two-run home runs for the Bucs. Marcano has hit home runs in consecutive games against the Dodgers, with Monday’s home run – his first in the Major Leagues. Mitch Keller started the game for the Pirates and earned his first victory of the season as a starter. He allowed just two hits over five innings.
The Bucs and Dodgers complete their three-game series tonight at 8:10pm. WISR pre-game begins at 7:45pm. The Pirates will have an off-day tomorrow, and host Arizona this weekend.
