Seneca Valley School District students raised a large amount of money for a worthy cause through a recent fundraiser.
Students Evans City Elementary and Middle Schools together collected over $9,000 to benefit the American Heart Association through the Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser.
In addition to collecting donations, students also jumped rope and participated in a variety of heart healthy fitness activities in physical education class.
Funds are used to support the fight against childhood obesity, heart disease, and stroke through education and research. After nearly 20 years at Evans City Schools, students, faculty, and staff plan to continue this program next year at the new Ehrman Crest facility.
