Suzan E. “Sue” Kennedy of Butler, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at her home.
Born September 14, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael Kochick and Francis (Miller) Kochick.
Sue was a 1968 graduate of Carrick High School. Sue was the head cashier for Hills Department Store, manager of Altmeyer’s and also worked at the American Legion Post #778 in Lyndora, where she was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband: Thomas E. “Tom” Kennedy, whom she married on July 10, 1992; her daughter: Michele Boland and her husband Chris of Butler, PA; 2 sons: Scott Murray and his wife Melody of Butler, PA and Tim Murray of Waynesburg, PA; her brother: Michael Kochick, of Pittsburgh, PA; 7 grandchildren: Savannah Kepple and her husband Jared, Dalton Stroup, Tanner Boland, Matthew Mackalica, Trevor and Alexis Murray and Escher Moss-Murray; 2 great-grandchildren: Chase and Keegan Kepple; numerous nieces and nephews and her Golden Retriever and best friend, Casey.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Paul “Blackey” Kochick and Peter “Butchy” Kochick.
At the convenience of the family, a Celebration of Life Service to honor the life of Sue will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Good Samaritan Hospice for all of their dedication and care to Sue over the past few weeks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Sue’s honor to the Butler County Humane Society 1015 Evans City Rd. Renfrew, PA 16053.
