Southern Butler County community members are remembering a longtime municipal leader following his death earlier this week.
Cranberry Township Supervisor Chairman Richard Hadley passed away Tuesday at the age of 72.
Hadley was a resident of Cranberry Township for more than 40 years and he spent 27 years as a member of the Board of Supervisors where he helped to create the Cranberry Plan to shape direction and expand the Route 228 corridor, as well as improve parks and infrastructure.
The Board of Supervisors held a moment of silence for Hadley before their Thursday night meeting. Visitation is planned for Sunday afternoon before a funeral Monday morning.
