It’s a great weekend to enjoy some outdoor activities at our local State Parks.
First, the Muddy Creek Oil Field Living History Demonstration at Moraine State Park will be open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Park Road. Volunteers will operate the antique engines and answer questions as part of this free event.
Then on Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the Girl Scouts will be gathering at McConnells Mill State Park. Park staff will meet with participants in the Kildoo Picnic Area to lead an archery activity, provide tours of the gristmill, and operate a scavenger hunt hike.
All equipment and materials will be provided for this ages 9 and up Girl Scout program but pre-registration is required by calling the park office.
