John Donald Speicher, 83, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 19, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
He was born October 28, 1938, in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph E. Speicher and the late Josephine Schultz Speicher.
John worked as an Equipment Operator for Penn Dot, retiring in 2005, after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sons of Italy, and Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Association. John enjoyed playing Bingo. He had a love for West Highland White Terriers, loved to travel, and to eat at different Italian restaurants.
John is survived by his wife, Linda Speicher, who he married on August 3, 1973; Marty Caldwell – his best friend whom he thought of as a son; several nieces and nephews; and his favorite companion, Buddy – West Highland White Terrier.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.
Friends will be received Friday, September 23, 2022, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA with Rev. David M. Phillips, officiating.
