The Butler County Tourism and Convention Bureau is receiving recognition by a sports publication for a recent hockey tournament.
Sports Destination Management announced their “Champions of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism” last week. Among the winners included the tourism bureau’s Dick’s Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic, which took place last year at the UPMC Sports Complex in Cranberry.
17 USHL teams and 30 youth organizations participated in the tournament. The publication estimated it had a $2.5 million total economic impact.
