A couple of local police departments were recognized for outstanding efforts to increase road safety by AAA East Central earlier this week.
The Cranberry Township Police Department received a Platinum award for their efforts in the Community Traffic Safety Program.
Additionally, PA State Police Troop D in Butler also received a Platinum Award. Butler Police received a Gold Award.
A total of over 100 Western Pennsylvania Departments received honors through this program.
