The Slippery Rock Area School District plans to honor local veterans with an event tomorrow afternoon.
A Veterans of Slippery Rock Bridge dedication ceremony is planned for Friday at 1 p.m. at the Love’s Truck Stop near the New Castle Road (Route 108) bridge over Interstate 79.
Slippery Rock students and administrators worked with the office of Senator Elder Vogel to achieve the goal of honoring the service and sacrifice of Slippery Rock veterans.
All community members including veterans are invited to bring a chair to be a part of this outdoor ceremony.
