A local festival is continuing its tradition of giving back to the community through charitable donations.
Coinciding with Giving Tuesday, the Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association announced financial gifts to 24 different local groups.
The donations range from $500 to $2,000 and in total combine for nearly $19,000 this year.
The association’s board of directors selected the following groups to receive awards:

- BC3 Education Foundation
- Blackwood Threatre Organ Society
- Breakthrough Butler
- Butler Breast Cancer and Women’s Cancer Support Group
- Butler County Blind Association
- Butler County Historical Society
- Butler Downtown
- Butler Township VFD
- CB Rangers
- Disabled American Veterans DAV
- Glade Run Lutheran Services
- Harmony Fire District
- Herman Volunteer Fire Company
- Musical Theatre Guild of Butler
- Penn Twp. VFD
- Petroleum Valley Youth Coalition
- Prospect Area Preservation Society
- Prospect Borough/Franklin Twp. VFD
- Scholars Run Conservancy Inc.
- Slippery Rock Community Library
- YWCA Butler
- Zelienople Lions Club
Since 2015, the Friends of the Jeep Bantam Association has donated over $270,000.
