Pirates take pitcher from Dodgers in Rule 5 draft/but lose most in MLB

The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired left-handed reliever Jose Hernandez from the Los Angeles Dodgers during the Rule 5 draft Wednesday in San Diego. But the Pirates also lost a total of 12 minor league players, most out of any team. The San Francisco Giants lost eight. The Rule 5 draft includes any player not protected on a big league or Triple-A roster. The biggest loss for the Bucs was catcher-outfielder Blake Sabol.
