Paul David Throm, age 70, of Butler; passed away at his residence on Thursday morning, December 15, 2022, following an illness. He is the husband of Denise Throm, Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway, Butler.
Born November 19,1952 in Greensburg, Westmorland County; he was the son of the late George and Helen Eyring Throm.
After 50 years, he retired from Nicholas Moving and Storage, where he had worked in sales and estimating. He also owned and operated the former Butler Photo on Jefferson Street.
He was a member of the Emmanual Lutheran Church of Prospect.
Paul enjoyed time with his wife, children, and grandsons. He collected car projects, he was the designated driver for the grandson’s sporting events, and he always owned boats, where he enjoyed fishing, water skiing, and pontoon-ing on Lake Arthur.
He is survived by his loving wife Denise Nahrbecki Throm, whom he married August 4, 1973; his children Paul P. (Andrea) Throm and Matthew Throm, all of Prospect; his two grandsons Liam P. Throm and Ryland M. Throm; his sister Carole (Nicholas) Toubakris of Meridian; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In remembrance of Paul as a caring person, his funeral wishes were to donate his body to science and research so he could help others after his passing.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, December 19,2022 at the Emmanual Lutheran Church, 143 Church Street, Prospect. Family and friends will be received from 10am until time of service at 11am, Rev. Tara Lynn, his church pastor will officiate.
Donation to charity and the memorial service coordination was entrusted to the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.
