With wintry precipitation and severe cold expected later this week, the Butler Transit Authority is urging public transportation riders to use caution on and around buses.
Severe weather can cause delays or possibly cancellations. In such circumstances, residents are advised to only go out if necessary and have patience as drivers navigate hazardous conditions.
The Authority recommends allowing extra time for icy walkways. Also riders are asked to dress in layers and wear reflective or light-colored clothing. Bus steps can get slippery so riders should take time getting on or off the bus.
Passengers can access local public transportation info through the myStop app as well as the Butler Transit Authority website and social media pages.
