A couple of local higher education institutions are making adjustments due to anticipated weather.
Butler County Community College will shut down its main campus for Friday. Officials say all classes and activities will be canceled due to the impending weather. It will be a remote workday for all non-essential staff.
Slippery Rock University has also decided to close all University offices for on-campus business on Friday except for essential services. Essential employees should consult with their manager. Non-essential staff can work remotely or request leave.
The South Butler Community Library will also be closed on Friday due to expected inclement winter weather.
