Ralph L. Mortimer, 90, of Butler, PA passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Orchard Manor in Grove City, PA.
Born April 4, 1932, in Rimersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Elizabeth (Elder) Mortimer.
Ralph was a graduate of Union High School, and went on to work for Arco Chemical Company until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses where he served as an Elder. Ralph loved to travel and was fortunate enough to have visited every state in the Continental United States. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading his Bible and sharing the things he learned with others.
Ralph is survived by five sons: Ralph (Connie) Mortimer, Jr. of Salisbury, NC, Robert (Susan) Mortimer, Sr. of Ohioville, PA, Dennis (Joni) Mortimer of Rochester, PA, Larry (Cynthia) Mortimer of Darlington, PA and William (Amy) Mortimer of Rochester, PA, one daughter: Mary Ann (Wade) Kummer of Butler, PA, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. (Seybert) Mortimer, whom he married on November 10, 1951, and who passed away on July 24, 2020, and nine brothers and sisters.
All are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate the life of Ralph at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 157 Unionville Rd., Butler, PA 16001 with Dave Burtyk officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations may be made in Ralph’s honor to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses or any charity of the donor’s choice.
