Charles L. Hasychak, age 83, of Butler, passed away Thurs., Feb. 9, 2023, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Aug. 10, 1939 in Butler, he was a son of the late Charles B. and Jennie Ritchie Hasychak.
He was retired from the Shipping Department of Butler Armco.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church.
He belonged to American Legion Post 778, the Elks lodge in Butler, and the Moose lodge in Butler. In his early years he enjoyed bowling. He was an avid Steelers fan and he enjoyed spending winters in Bradenton, Fla.
He is survived by four sons, Rick Hasychak and his wife, Lynne, of Butler, Ron Hasychak and his wife, Robin, of West Sunbury, Keith Hasychak and his wife, Tracy, of Butler, and Tom Hasychak and his wife, Luann, of Saegertown, Pa.; two brothers, Joe Hasychak and his wife, Rhonda, of Butler, and John Hasychak and his wife, Sue, of Butler; seven grandchildren, Lindsay Crowley and her husband, Kenny, Richard Hasychak and his wife, Brittany, Kristen Clouse and her husband, Travis, Kyle Hasychak and his wife, Kyla, Taylor Hasychak and her fiancé Chad Kaltenbaugh, T.J. Hasychak, and Andy Hasychak; and six great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Hudson Hasychak, Charlotte and Carson Crowley, and Braden and Logan Clouse.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet C. Taylor Hasychak, who passed away May 30, 2020; and a granddaughter, Ashley Hasychak.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler, on Monday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
A Blessing Service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Kevin C. Fazio officiating.
Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.
