Playoff basketball results from Monday / North Catholic wins – Butler and Freeport fall

WPIAL Playoff Results from Monday:
–Peters Township defeated the Butler girls 63-49 last night in the Class 6A First Round. Amelia McMichael led the Golden Tornado with 22 points.
–The North Catholic boys defeated Montour 53-41 in the Class 4A First Round. Andrew Maddalon led the Trojans with 22 points. North Catholic will meet Uniontown in the Quarterfinals Thursday.
–Laurel Highlands ended the Freeport boys season following a 69-45 victory.
