Linda Kay Ray, 73, of York, PA, formerly of Butler, PA, passed away quietly on February 18, 2023, at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, PA.
She was born in Eau Claire, PA, on July 30, 1949, to the late Floyd and Mary (Parker) Douglass.
Linda worked as a client specialist for CCIS in Butler until retiring in 2016. She lived and raised her children in Butler. Linda was well-loved and will be greatly missed. She moved to York, PA, several years ago to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren and made many new friends. Linda enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at her apartment complex.
She is survived by her children, Christina (Corey) Craig of Chicora, PA, Stacy (Frank) Fay of York, PA, and Lori (Joe) Dunn of Dover, PA; six grandchildren, Cooper and Cohen Craig, Shelby and Logan Fay, and Connor and Parker Dunn; six sisters, Louise Donaldson, Pearl Montgomery, Sylvia (Bill) Darcangelo, Sally (Bruce) Bell, Sandy Douglass, and Leanna (Dan) Gibson; a sister-in-law, Jan Douglass. She is also survived by dozens of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith Douglass, and Kenny Douglass; and a sister, Gladys Weeter.
Friends and Family are invited to a visitation on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001. A memorial service will follow immediately after visitation at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Edmundson, officiating.
