The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is beginning a project in Middlesex and Adams Townships this week.
Long-term traffic control along Route 228 for the Three Degree Road Intersection Project will begin Tuesday at 7 a.m. weather permitting with placement of barriers along the eastbound side of the road near the Adams Township Fire Department.
Crews will then add a temporary traffic signal along with additional barriers on the westbound side of 228 near Officer Edward Brooks Drive. This will allow for continuous flow of traffic in each direction during daylight hours. Short-term delays are possible beginning at 8 p.m. and continuing until Friday.
This nearly $56 million project is expected to be completed in November of 2026.
