A local municipality has again received statewide recognition for excellence in communication with residents.
The 55th annual Citizen Communication Contest of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors recently awarded Cranberry Township with the Outstanding Citizen Communication Award for Townships with a Population over 5,000.
Cranberry also was honored with first place in electronic newsletters and audiovisual communications. Township officials will accept the awards later this month at the annual educational conference.
Over 30 townships submitted over 100 total entries this year and 17 townships won awards based on usefulness, effectiveness, and readability.
