There’s still time for local young artists to submit their work to possibly get it displayed in a special exhibit in the U.S. Capitol.
According to U.S. Representative Mike Kelly of the 16th Congressional District, this year’s Congressional Art Competition allows Butler County high school students to show off their artistic talent and be critiqued by an independent panel of local artists.
Winners will be announced next month with winning entries displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year or in a local gallery.
The deadline for submissions to one of Kelly’s district offices is April 21st. Visit the congressman’s website for a complete list of rules and requirements.
