Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day and many local communities are holding collection events.
The day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means to dispose of prescription drugs.
A couple of local police departments are hosting events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
- Butler City Police at the police department on West New Castle Street
- Butler Township Police will be at the Walmart in the Butler Commons
- Cranberry Township at the municipal building
- The Butler VA Health Care System is also hosting a collection at their New Castle Road campus
Officials ask that participants remove any identifying information from the bottles.
